The work created as part of the project «On the Way». «Heavy load» tells about objects and concepts that could simply be thrown into a passing river if they were not so heavy.
The «On the Way» project is a public art master class by Uwe Jonas, an artist and curator, head of a residence from Berlin. In total, 19 artists from Yekaterinburg took part in the master class, 17 of which subsequently implemented individual projects. Each of them had a simple and ambitious task: to perform artistic intervention in public places in the Verkh-Isetsky district of Yekaterinburg. For two weeks, the participants had to implement projects that were bright enough to attract the attention of ordinary residents, to make them talk about them, but which would be low-budget or did not require any cash costs.
The project was carried out as part of the Days of Germany in Yekaterinburg. With the support of the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Yekaterinburg
